Faces of Faith Technologies | Meet Jacob, Onsite Logistics Specialist

At Faith Technologies, we have some amazing employees who make our culture unique. The Faces of Faith Technologies series aims to highlight the talented individuals who work with us. Each month, we’ll introduce you to several of these individuals so you can get to know the ‘Faces of Faith Technologies.’ We recently talked to Jacob Fry, an Onsite Logistics Specialist from our Madison, WI branch. Here’s what he had to say:

What led you to work for Faith Technologies?

I attended Lafollette Madison high school and while there, I had a friend who became an Apprentice after graduating. He talked about Faith and the program and I became interested in working for Faith. I came to work for Faith shortly after graduating high school.

What does your position entail?

I am responsible for ensuring our project crew has the right materials, tools and equipment and the right time and in the right place. I handle anything that comes in and out of the job site to make the project crew jobs more efficient. When I manage materials, our electricians can focus on installation, and we all contribute to a higher primary time onsite.

What are some of your favorite things about your job?

I think getting to know people is one of the best things. I enjoy spending a lot of time with people and everyone I work with is really nice.

What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of work?

I spend a lot of time snowboarding and hiking. I just love spending time outdoors. I recently got engaged and we spend a lot of time together. We go camping often and one of our favorite places to go hiking is Devil’s Lake in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Are there any personal accomplishments you would like to share?

I’m working through my heart issues; I have a bad aorta and valve and I will need open heart surgery in the next three years. I didn’t think that I could do much because of my heart issues but I have proven myself wrong. It’s been a challenge, but I’m known for being super friendly and I don’t let my condition affect my day-to-day attitude.

What’s your why?

My why is my family and my fiancé.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself as an Apprentice or Journeyman. I’d also like to have my own house.
