Faces of Faith Technologies | Meet Lucas, Value Stream Leader

At Faith Technologies, we have some amazing employees who make our culture unique. The Faces of Faith Technologies series aims to highlight the talented individuals who work with us. Each month, we’ll introduce you to several of these individuals so you can get to know the ‘Faces of Faith Technologies.’ We recently talked to Lucas Engels, a Value Stream Leader from Little Chute, WI. Here’s what he had to say:

What led you to work for Faith Technologies?

I had heard it was a great company through an employee who was just hired. I was 20 years old at the time, working as an electrical helper for a smaller company that wasn’t doing well and was looking to make a switch.

What does your position entail?

I’m responsible for managing projects with our manufacturing partner, Excellerate, including all aspects of production, quality control and staffing. It’s similar to a foreman position. After running my own jobs and managing accounts for three years, I felt I was a good fit for the role. I see it as an opportunity with a lot of potential, and this career move allowed me to remain closer to home.

What are some of your favorite things about your job?

I like that we apply field techniques in the manufacturing world, and bring knowledge to continue developing Excellerate’s manufacturing processes. I’m looking forward to seeing the new Excellerate manufacturing headquarters and driving value for our customers and partners.

What are some of your favorite projects that you’ve worked on?

My favorite projects have always been the projects with crews who wanted to learn and are excited to work. I think the food processing industry is interesting because there’s so much to learn.

What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of work?

With the help of my friends and family, my wife Chelsea and I built a home five years ago in Luxemburg, Wisconsin. It took about 9 months, and we now enjoy maintaining the property. We welcomed our first son, Memphis, a year ago. We also have two energetic bird dogs, Madison and Reagan, that I like to take on my pheasant hunts.

What’s your why?

My why is being able to provide for my family, to be more present and a part of their future. I’d like to continue growing professionally and help both Faith and myself succeed.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Continuing to work locally to stay involved with my family and hobbies, and growing with the company.
