Faces of Faith Technologies | Meet Mike, Service Level Technician

At Faith Technologies, we have some amazing employees who make our culture unique. The Faces of Faith Technologies series aims to highlight the talented individuals who work with us. Each month, we’ll introduce you to several of these individuals so you can get to know the ‘Faces of Faith Technologies.’ We recently talked to Mike Danke, a Service Level Technician – Level 3 and a current participant in Faith’s High-Potential Program from our Menasha, WI. Here’s what he had to say:

What led you to work for Faith Technologies?

My uncle, Tom Danke, was working for Faith when I graduated high school. He recommended the company and helped me secure an interview! He was an electrician for many years and held a superintendent role before retiring several ago.

What job site do you work on?

I have a group of six constant presence customers in the Fox Cities area, whom I have been working with for many years. I enjoy supporting our constant presence customers because there’s an opportunity to build relationships, earn the customer’s trust and allow the work to flow more naturally.

What does your position entail?

I help estimate tasks by analyzing blueprints, reviewing upcoming work and anticipating equipment needs in addition to working onsite with a small crew. Our crew aids in installing new or repairing broken machines and remodeling existing facilities. We also complete more simple projects such as installing parking lights. The projects change daily, which is something I love about this position.

What did you learn from the High-Potential (Hi-Po) Program?

The program was focused on teaching leadership skills and gave me the opportunity to grow as a professional. The Hi-Po events were beneficial because I was able to meet employees from other locations with a variety of work backgrounds; we networked and learned from each other’s experiences in the field. In addition, the executive leaders shared their perspective on the direction and vision of the company, helping us all to see the bigger picture and how our actions impact Faith’s success. After completing the program, my communications skills improved as I was able to take information and better relay it to field employees, helping me feel more confident.

What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of work?

Mike_Friends_Fishes

I’m an all-around sportsman; I love deer hunting, fishing and being outside. My family has a cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where we spend as much time as we can during the summer and fall. Our two girls also keep the family busy between sporting events and 4-H projects!

What’s your why?

My motivation for working safely is my family. My main goal is to enjoy time off with them and free up more time to hunt and fish as well.
