Faith Technologies Project Spotlight: Vertis Green Hills

Faith Technologies partnered with Southern Land Company (SLC) on their Vertis Green Hills project in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. This mixed-use community consists of residential apartments, onsite dining and shopping, along with an underground parking structure, providing an exceptional living experience with multiple styles of apartments and luxury community amenities.

The 18-story Vertis Green Hills project was the first high-rise tower built by SLC, and Faith was able to share our expertise in this vertical in various ways throughout the project. Faith played an integral part of the design/build of the lobby courtyard in this luxury residential community. We also installed lighting and fire alarm systems in the five levels of underground parking.

Faith integrated a 1500 kva and two 3,000-amp busses into the 18-story tower, and utilized approximately 98% LED lighting, creating energy savings today and into the future. A variety of structural lighting was used in the various spaces within the tower. We also integrated approximately 5,000 fire alarm devices throughout this 805,000 square-foot facility.

Several challenges were faced during this project, beginning with excessive rains during slab pours which delayed the job 5-6 months. Faith was able to flex our manpower schedules to accommodate the project needs and complete our commitments on schedule. The project also experienced significant changes in scope, with more than $3 million of modifications from start to finish. Faith initiated the use of Trimble scanning on the project to accommodate the increasing construction needs.

With safety a core value at Faith, this project saw more than 98,000 hours without a safety incident. The Vertis Green Hills project was one of Faith’s first jobs to implement our Operational Risk Management (ORM) safety planning process. Faith Technologies was proud to be a part of this design-build project, which had a contract value of more than $11.8 million.
