Faith Technologies Project Spotlight: Wonders of Wildlife

WOW5 - croppedWonders of Wildlife is a nonprofit museum, aquarium, and zoo located next to Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO. Renovation on the 235,000 square foot facility began in January 2012, and is scheduled to be complete in spring 2016.

The new facility will feature exhibits modeled after the great nocturnal exhibit at The Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, NE; and the Rain Forest Exhibit at the Dallas World Aquarium. Several exhibits will include interactive displays including a flooded rain forest exhibit, shark and ray touch tanks, catfish and turtle feeding pools, a large living coral tank, a bird aviary, and a nocturnal swamp. A new 180-seat multi-purpose auditorium/theatre and new conservation education center/exhibition hall will also provide a fun and educational space for young people.

Faith Technologies’ scope of work continues to change on a daily basis, but the team has truly encompassed the “If you can dream it, we can build it” motto for this project. With direction from the customer, we have built and rebuilt the same exhibits many times in an effort to produce a final product that is nothing less than spectacular. Throughout the project, we have provided the following services: architect/engineering, lighting design, and electrical.

Before the renovation, Wonders of Wildlife consistently attracted more than 225,000 visitors annually, which surpassed attendance at such high profile national attractions as the National Football Hall of Fame, P.G.A. World Golf Hall of Fame, the International Tennis Hall of Fame and many other prominent museums.

It’s truly been an honor to be part of this project, and we’re looking forward to Wonders of Wildlife’s grand re-opening. Visit their website often for re-opening schedule updates, construction photos, education programs, and more!
